On a recent visit to Berlin, I was lucky enough to take a walking tour of Jewish sites with Shlomit Lasky. I learned so much! Shlomit is a consummate host – she took me to places that aren’t on many maps; she has a deep knowledge of the city and its history; and she was fun to be with. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an engaging tour and a delightful guide.

As the executive producer of a nationally (U.S.) syndicated classical music radio program, listeners travel with me for a customized cultural experience … Shlomit always delivers. [She] is responsible for all the logistical details, as well as curating an experience that digs beneath the surface, providing history and context. She is always well prepared and ready for the inevitable questions and discussions that travelers crave.

Shlomit is an outstanding tour guide - reliable, knowledgeable, and most of all, personable. She is a wealth of information, not just facts, but also fascinating stories, and goes above and beyond to make sure her guests have the most amazing experience possible on her tours. I feel lucky to have her as a colleague and value her very much as a part of our guiding community.

Former Berliner
After my first guided tour with Shlomit I did not wait long to take another, and then another. Shlomit knows Berlin intimately, and each tour reveals thorough historical and social knowledge of the city … with Shlomit you will find hidden treasures, and the inevitable best food, drink and sweets … You may also be captivated by her charm and good-natured humor. Highly recommended.

Shlomit organized a fantastic tour for our international marketing team during a conference kickoff event. She planned a city tour followed by a food experience with beer and sausage tastings. As a guide, she was fun and knowledgeable. Despite the short notice, she accommodated our needs and helped with planning team dinners with some excellent restaurant choices. Overall, it was an outstanding experience.

Over the years, we've had the pleasure of joining several of Shlomit's tours on multiple occasions: the Jewish Prenzlauer Berg Tour, the Ku'damm Beyond Shopping Tour, and the Bergman Kiez Culture, Food & Neighborhood Tour. Each experience has been a resounding success ... We greatly value Shlomit's extensive knowledge of the subject matter, as well as her warm and engaging demeanor.

I really enjoyed the food tour through Berlin Mitte. Shlomit is a very approachable tour guide. She tells very lively and personal stories, with a great enthusiasm for good food and its history. The tour is suitable for both Berliners and tourists, as you learn a lot about the city and its (food) culture.

We had the pleasure of experiencing a guided tour through Berlin with Shlomit as part of a team event – and it was truly outstanding. Shlomit brings the city’s history to life with compelling stories and deep knowledge, making the tour both engaging and enriching. Even as Berlin locals, we discovered new perspectives and insights. A fantastic experience we can highly recommend.

I went on a lovely tour public 'Jewish Prenzlauer Berg tour.' It was most informative in a lovely story-telling way - rather than being overwhelmed by facts as many tour guides do!
Shlomit is clearly not only highly knowledgeable but also most charming, down-to-earth, and approachable. I definitely recommend her and looking forward to joining more of her tours.

Shlomit led my husband and me on a fantastic 6-hour expedition through Berlin to capture the essence of Jewish life from pre-1933 to the present. She was always very responsive to our preferences - including joining us for lunch where we asked her a variety of questions about Jewish life in Berlin today … Very quickly after meeting Shlomit, she seemed like a friend showing us around her city.

Thanks to Shlomit, we had a very good visit to Berlin ... She was a terrific tour guide and was well informed about Berlin history. When we made changes to the itinerary, Shlomit was very flexible in accommodating the changes. On the first day, she hired a driver for us and it was raining that day. We would highly recommend Shlomit for Berlin tours.

Although we are independent travelers, we decided to hire a guide because we wanted to visit neighborhoods which are not on the tourist routes. Shlomit was the perfect guide for us. She knows the city and its history very well. Her recommendations of other places to visit, books to read and entertainment were very valuable. She enhanced out experience with her knowledge and friendly personality.

Shlomit Lasky … is able to make Berlin and it’s history come alive. We first went on a most fascinating walking tour of Berlin, covering neighborhoods in both formerly East and also West Berlin. We navigated the public transportation system and Shlomit made us feel like real Berliners. She was a terrific guide for our group of four to Potsdam, Sans Souci and Wannsee. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

We were lucky that we were able to spend our time in Berlin with Shlomit. She is a warm and knowledgable woman who adapted our tour to our interests. We had a wonderful day, learned a lot and used our short time wisely in Berlin. My husband is still talking about his day in Berlin and never once complained about the long bus rides. Thank you Shlomit for making us both happy.
